Belüften im Bestand

After over 20 years of continuous research and development, the hilling-cultivator is now produced in-house on a larger scale and can be used with not additional inputs. Check here how our sales process works.

DAMMKULTUR nach Turiel
A HOLISTIC FARMING SYSTEM FOR CULTIVATION

Healthy soil - sustainable and good yields

Aktuelles: Maisanbau

Optimizing the yield and combating weeds are central issues in agriculture. Dammkultur enables soil cultivation with simple tools. The soil is well ventilated, weeds such as thistle, couch-grass, dock (Rumex) and other weeds are made superfluous. More about weeds

Flacher Ackerboden

  • Gleiche Temperatur

       in allen Bereichen

  • Geringe Oberfläche

Dammkultur

  • Eigenes Mikroklima durch unterschiedliche Einstrahlungsintensität

  • Luftbewegung durch Temperaturunterschiede

  • Größere Oberfläche

HOW DOES IT WORK?

With this system, the layers of the earth are only aerated, not turned upside down. Loose ridges are drawn with a the hilling cultivator.

Due to this loose processing, the surface is not pressed but loosened and crumbly.

This causes the surface to be considerably larger than in flat cultivation. Nutrients, sunlight and water can be better absorbed and stored.

The dams (hills) also create their own microclimate : sunlight does not hit the ground with the same intensity everywhere; temperature differences and drafts arise. The ground breathes, so to say.

Well cultivated soil is considered the ideal condition in agriculture: porous, humus-enriched, well-ventilated, sufficiently moist and easily to colonize by roots. Due to the Dammkultur, the soil is turned into a state in which natural processes are enhanced. Nutrients that have been washed out due to leakage can be accessed now also by crops. The result is that weeds such as thistle, couch-grass and dock disappear without chemical or mechanical intervention.

DID YOU KNOW THAT...

Large cultivation areas are no problem for the hilling cultivator? Farms with up to 800 ha are already farming this way!

Our hilling cultivator allows to cultivate not just grain but also vegetables due to its versatility and the modular design.
